Parent Consultation
Navigating psychoeducational evaluation and determining special education services can be complex. As a parent, your focus should remain on your child--not on figuring out how to navigate myriad laws and policies.
As both a school psychologist and consultant to schools, I'm uniquely equipped to partner with you as you create a fulfilling educational experience for your child. I'll support you in developing effective strategies for collaborating with educators to ensure your child's specific educational needs are met. I'll provide you with the guidance you need and answers to your questions. My goal is to equip you with an essential understanding of your child's educational/academic, cognitive and social/emotional functioning. We'll focus on practical, effective solutions: how you can support your child both at home and at school. The key to success lies in streamlining the home-school relationship optimally. I am available to provide support at school meetings and can help facilitate this process through my in-depth understanding of and experience with educational policy, Special Education law, Section 504 of the ADA and best practices/accommodations in the general education classroom. |
